I had a dream, that my bf was suppose to meet me at my school and didn’t show up and I was really mad. and somehow I time traveled back to our first date and we were together, it was a different date we were in a room, and mid hangout I realized and told him we couldn’t be together. I couldn’t go through everything I had already gone through again, it was too much. And I said that I don’t remember his response I asked if he was friends with these girls and he said yes and I was like yeah absolutely not I can’t do this. And I looked through his phone saw all the girls and decided to leave. On the way home he and one other person magically appeared in my car and we fought someone in the alley, but once it got to bad I decided to leave, I tried to kiss and tell him I loved him but remembered it was in the past. And when I traveled back to the present it asked me if my bf should keep his old memory of our first date or our new memory and I said def the old memory
Your dream carries several noteworthy themes and symbols that may reflect your subconscious thoughts, emotions, and concerns about your relationship and your past experiences. Here is a detailed interpretation:
Disappointment and Absence: The dream beginning where your boyfriend was supposed to meet you but didn’t show up suggests a feeling of disappointment or unmet expectations in your waking life. This could symbolize a fear of being let down or concern about reliability in the relationship.
Time Travel to the First Date: The act of time traveling back to your first date indicates a desire to revisit the start of your relationship. This could imply reflection on how things began and a longing for the innocence or magic of the early days. It also might suggest a wish to change the past or learn from it.
Realization and Decision: Realizing during the time travel that you couldn’t go through everything again suggests a profound awareness of the trials and challenges you have faced in the relationship. It speaks to a desire to avoid repeating past mistakes or painful experiences.
Friends and Boundaries: Asking if he is friends with certain people and deciding you "can’t do this" indicates concerns about boundaries and the influences of other people on your relationship. It reflects potential insecurity or unresolved trust issues.
Phone as a Symbol of Trust: Looking through his phone ties into the theme of trust and transparency. Phones in dreams are often symbols of communication and secrets, indicating you may have concerns about honesty and openness.
Conflict and Discomfort: Fighting someone in the alleyway symbolizes confronting adversities or conflicts in life. It may represent internal or external struggles you are experiencing. Leaving when things got too bad speaks to a threshold for what you’re willing to endure.
Love and Longing: The attempt to kiss and admit love but remembering it was in the past suggests unresolved feelings and a lingering connection, despite knowing things have changed. It reflects the complexity of emotions tied to significant relationships and memories.
Choice between Old and New Memory: Being asked to choose whether your boyfriend keeps his old or new memory emphasizes the value you place on the past moments and experiences you've shared. Choosing the old memory implies an appreciation for the authentic, original connection you felt.
